2013 Annual Policy Conference - Milwaukee

July 28-31, 2013

Come to the Brew City for the annual Governmental Research Association policy conference. In addition to provocative panel discussions and nationally known keynote speakers, this year’s conference will feature great beer, fun summer festivals, world class museums, and Milwaukee’s beautiful lakefront. Panel topics will include:

  • Milwaukee’s experience as “Ground Zero” of the national school choice movement
  • Pension and retiree health care reform
  • Local government shared services and consolidation
  • Water resource management

The conference will occur in the height of Milwaukee’s summer festival season. Those wishing to come early can enjoy German Fest at Milwaukee’s famous Summerfest grounds (July 25-28), the Brady Street Festival in one of our hippest neighborhoods (July 27), and the Milwaukee Brewfest at one of our lakefront parks (July 27).

Guests will stay at Hotel Metro, in the heart of Milwaukee’s Downtown and easy walking distance to our world class art museum designed by Santiago Calatrava, as well as a broad assortment of shopping, restaurants, culture and entertainment.
